Folios 34-35: John Inglis, Sheerness. He has come ashore under a flag of truce. His men have broken off all dealings with HMS Sandwich and all they want is their wages for the last six months and a pardon. He sent a letter from his crew with this demand to Captain Knights who did not take action so he sent another by passage boat which he hopes has been received. Parker, the leader of the delegates, asked the crew of HMS Belliqueuse to join him. The crew of Belliqueuse have refused as they consider the North Sea squadron is [detached] so they broke off from HMS Sandwich. His crew have fired only one shot which was at HMS Leopard so he begs a pardon for them from the Admiralty. He will return on board.
