He arrived at Corsier on 13 July 1801 along with HMS Sensible and Sheerness and the transports that bought the army from India. Sir Home had left orders with Captain Lause of HMS Sensible so some transports returned to India and he sailed on the 31 July 1801 for Mocha leaving transports at Casier. He arrived at Jeddah on 9 August 1801 where Sir Home ordered him to wait before returning with the transports to Suez. The crew are healthy and only three have died. HMS Fox has left for Mocha but bought news of the death of Admiral Blanket. Sir Home left for India on 28 July 1801 in HMS Romney. HMS Leopard is in Mocha and will follow HMS Fox. Sir Home Popham ordered HMS Sheerness to keep watch in Mocha. All East India vessels have returned apart from three packet boats with more expected to transport General Baird's army. The Gabriel with stores and the women and children of 61st Regiment of Foot was lost in the shoals of Jubal South of Tor.
