Folios 262-263: John Larmour, HMS Lord Hood, Leith Roads. He received orders on 19 May [1798] from George Brisac, Captain of HMS Iris, to take charge of the trade from Elsineur [Elsinore] bound to Liverpool and other western ports, and see them safely as far as the Orkney islands. He has seen all 26 vessels safely into the Pentland Firth from where he arrived today to get the men he had put on board 2 vessels he had detained on the passage bound to Amsterdam and send there. He will proceed as quickly as possible to the Humber to put Lord Duncan's former orders into execution or any others that he may be given.
