Folios 258-259: John Larmour, HMS Lord Hood, Humber. Following orders from Admiral Sir Richard Onslow of 17 [March 1798] to take charge of the ships in the Humber bound to the Elbe, he sailed on 1 [April 1798] and arrived at Cuxhaven on 5 [April 1798] with the whole of the convoy, a list of which is included. Finding a number of vessels ready to proceed to England under convoy of Captain Temple of HMS Jalouse but the wind was foul for 2 or 3 days and the convoy increased so much that Captain Hinthorp of HMS Circe thought he should take charge of the convoy with HMS Jalouse to accompany him. This he did and arrived there on 13 [April 1798] with the trade bound there and to London, a list of which he encloses. [not present]. As soon as the wind permits he will see them as far as the Nore. Gives a list of ships and vessels under convoy of HMS Lord Hood from the Humber to the Elbe dated 31 March 1798. Gives date joined, name of vessel, Master and owners, description, port of departure and port to which they belong, all vessels bound to Hamburg, gives details of lading, for 11 named vessels.
