Folios 584-585: William Lukin, HMS Thames, Yarmouth Road, Isle of Wight. Acknowledges the order to proceed to Falmouth, which he received two days ago. He waited only until essential repairs had been completed, but by that time the wind had come round to the West and it has not been possible to get through the Needles Channel. He will beat down the English Channel as soon as the weather allows.
