Folios 557-558: Thomas Louis, HMS Minotaur, Spithead, to Admiral Sir Peter Parker. Encloses the letter to the Admiralty regarding George Davies and [not present] his indenture, and reports he is aboard the Minotaur, having volunteered at Borough in January with Sergeant Silk of the Royal Marines and received a bounty.
Folios 559-560: enclosure with folios 557-558. Letter 5 April 1797 from Benjamin Richards, 4 Burleigh Street, Strand, to the Admiralty. Seeks the discharge of his son and apprentice Joseph Richards, who absconded nine weeks ago and whom he has just learned is aboard HMS Minotaur at Spithead, serving under the name of George Davis. Encloses [not present] his son's indenture.
