Folios 521-522: William Luke, HMS Caroline, Spithead. States that on applying to the Agents Victualler at Portsmouth for provisions pursuant to orders from Admiral George Vandeput for such quantity as he could conveniently Stow after completing himself for four months (Copy of which order) he sent you on his arrival from Lisbon. He request directions be given as he can stow 2 months of every species for a complement of 274 men except of Beer and Spirits which is not wanted.
