Folios 507-508: William Luke, HMS Caroline, Grimsby Roads. Reports his arrival in HMS Caroline, He was last night 25 miles to the Southwards of Spurn on his way to the Downs when the wind shifted so he came into this place. He refers them to his previous letter dated 28 February 1796 for the particulars of his movements since parting with [Rear] Admiral Thomas Pringle. He gives details of his cruise since the 28 February 1796. He will proceed to the Downs as soon as the winds are favourable.
