Folios 227-228: Jonathan Lawford, George Town, Grand Cayman. He reports the loss of his ship, HMS Convert, and 9 merchantmen which were wrecked on the reefs at the east end of the island. He says that fortunately few lives were lost. These ships formed part of the convoy under his command. Commander Ford had sent HMS Success from Port au Prince with orders for him to take the convoy under his charge. The sailing of the convoy was delayed due to the requests of the merchants and this was approved by the Chief magistrate and Lieutenant Governor. He describes in detail the circumstances of the wrecking of the ships. He sends his dispatch to the Admiralty with Lieutenant Brice of HMS Hermione.
Folio 229-230: enclosed with folios 227-228. Letter dated 9 February 1794 by John Lawford, HMS Convert. He writes to the Captains of the Merchant vessels in the convoy asking them to take on board the Seamen who survived the wrecking of 9 of the merchant ships. He says that the men have no provisions and are in great distress.

Folios 233-234: enclosed with folios 227-228. Letter dated 13 February 1794 by Jonathan Lawford. He writes to the Admiralty reporting the loss of HMS Convert and 9 of the merchant ships that she was escorting. He gives details of the shipwreck and the actions he took.
Folios 235-236: enclosed with folios 227-228. Letter dated 13 February 1794 by Jonathan Lawford, HMS Convert, George Town, Grand Cayman. He writes to the Governor asking him to provide protection to the remaining ships in the convoy following the loss of HMS Convert.

Folios 238-239: enclosed with folios 227-228. Letter dated 13 February 1794 by Jonathan Lawford, HMS Convert. He writes to the Captains of the merchant ships asking that they take on board the seamen from the ships that were wrecked in the hurricane. This is essential as the hurricane destroyed food supplies on the Island the local inhabitants are unable to feed the men.

Folio 241A: enclosed with folios 227-228. Letter dated 12 February 1794 by George Turnbull, Joseph Dalby, Robert Knowles, Thomas Thompson, William Prescott, Hugh Mitchell, James Hoy, George Town, Grand Cayman. As inhabitants of the Island they write to John Lawford stating that it is essential that the crews of the wrecked merchant ships are removed from the Island as there is no food to feed them.
