Folios 174-175: Edward Killwick, HMS Princess, Liverpool. Reports that John Darlington was impressed from a boat which was landing seamen from the Claurence, a ship homeward bound, outside the River of Liverpool [River Mersey]. He has frequently warned the boatmen that they had no protection beyond the Rock Passage or once out of the river.
Folios 176-177: enclosed with folios 174-175. Letter from Nathaniel Darlington, top of Cunliff Street, Liverpool, to the Admiralty, 21 April 1810. Seeks the discharge of his son, John Darlington, who has been impressed and is now aboard HMS Princess. John Darlington has been employed in a ferry boat on the river for the last 18 months.
