Folios 384-385: Andrew King, HMS Venerable, Chatham. States that as the Quarter Decks of the Venerable were thrown overboard to ease the ship believes she would materially benefit if furnished with Govers Guns on the Quarter Deck, the same as on the Main Deck. This would mean there would be only one description of weights on each Deck. They would also be lighter for the Quarter Deck than the previous guns.
Folio 386: enclosure with folios 384-385. Piece of paper - Cap K69, 23 November 1809, Mr Mends [?], 22 January 1813.
