Folios 361-362: Edward Killwick, HMS Princess, Liverpool. Requests permission to put on the ship's books as part of the complement, or as supernumeraries for victuals and wages, six additional boys for the accommodation of the Officers of the Princess, as by establishment she is only allowed four boys, one of which is First Class. The reason the Officers give for the request is that they have no encouragement to clothe their boys who are taken from the disposable supernumeraries and liable to be sent round whenever a draft of men goes to Plymouth.
