Description

Folios 334-335: Edward Killwick, HMS Princess, Liverpool. Replying to Admiralty letter of 19 October which enclosed copy of letter from Admiral Young stating that the Commanders of the Pheasant and Acteon had confirmed they had taken all the impressed men from the Princess, which statement is not correct as the Concord tender took the last draft from this ship. On 27 September received Admiralty letter dated 25 September that a sloop of war was ordered to proceed monthly from Plymouth to take the new raised men and if this was not required to notify Admiral Young. Had understood these instructions to take effect from the end of October. Encloses copy of his 18 October letter to Admiral Young.

Folios 336-337: enclosure with folios 334-335. Copy of letter from Edward Killwick, HMS Princess, Liverpool dated 18 October 1809 to Admiral Young, Plymouth. Refers to Admiralty letter of 25 September with regard to Admiral Young sending a sloop of war monthly to Liverpool to convey impressed men to Plymouth and that in event not required to inform the Admiral. States that one will not be wanted at the close of this month.
