Folios 328-329: William Hugh Kittoe, Regulating Officer, Southampton. Acknowledges receipt of Admiralty letter of 26 June with Affidavit from Mr Wood with regard to John Dalewell, Mate of the Barbara and Samuel Johnston, Mate of the Ann together with Admiralty directions to state their cases. Confirms the men were impressed on the night of 2 June drinking in an alehouse at Northam.
Folios 330-331: enclosure with folios 328-329. Letter from Rob Wood, Bishopwearmouth dated 17 June 1809 to the Admiralty. Encloses Affidavit (not with letter) and ships articles (not with letter) from George Walton and Charles Gill, Masters of the Brigs Barbara and Ann, stating their Mates - John Dalewell and Samuel Johnson, being impressed are now on board HMS Repulse. Requests order for them to be discharged.
