Folios 277-278: Edward Killwick, HMS Princess, Liverpool. Replying to Admiralty letter of 2 October says has no objection to Charles Brown, Midshipman of the Princess, being discharged to a small ship at Plymouth. Only objection is that Mr Brown did not consult him before applying for discharge. Believes Mr Brown had no reason for complaint as he had been rated Midshipman much sooner that he had a right to expect in the general rules of the service.
