Folios 268-269: Alexander Robert Kerr, HMS Unicorn, Sheerness. States that Hugh William Buckely, Boatswain of HMS Saldanha, appointed to HMS Unicorn, has been absent without leave from the Saldanha, which is at Chatham, since the beginning of last month. From the what he had been told of his character from the Master Attendant, believes he may not mean to join. In circumstances requests the appointment of Mr Slopen [?], Boatswain of the Tamar [?] which is to be broken up.
