Folios 228-229: Richard Goodwin Keats, HMS Superb, The Tagus. Enclosing a letter from Captain Mudge of HMS Constance, which he received while setting off to the squadron under the command of Admiral Pole.
Folio 230: enclosure with folios 228-229. Letter dated 16 November 1801 from Zachariah Mudge of La Constance at the river Tagus. Noting that a merchant ship arrived after a passage of 49 days. It was boarded at Rio de Janeiro by two French and four Spanish frigates.
