Folios 209-210: Richard Goodwin Keats, HMS Superb, at sea. Informing that on 24th April HMS Venerable and HMS Superb parted from the Cambrian and the East India convoy. The Dutchess of Portland, a South Sea whaler had been badly damaged after contact with an East India ship and made her way to Lisbon or Gibraltar. The Walter Boyd merchant ship parted from the convoy without permission. The Venerable and Superb have been stocked by Captain Hood with water and food for three months.
