Regarding the fitting out of HMS Goliath, involving various Boatswains and the collection of sea-stores from Chatham, a survey of which has resulted in his pay being stopped; so he requests the Navy Board to dispense with the survey so he can receive his pay, observing that whilst Goliath was being fitted out at Blackstakes he was for 4 weeks a member of a Court Martial of the mutineers of HMS Defiance and that the weather prevented him reaching the Goliath more than twice.
