Folios 168-169: Jonathan Knowles, Guernsey. He encloses his returns from 19th October to 15 November 1796. (not enclosed). He announces that HMS Tryall which was stationed at Alderney was ordered to Guernsey. He would like permission to order on board some of the men who are frequent deserters from Castle Cornet. Similarly, there are men from the Cartel and other vessels around the islands who might be put on board. HMS Star sailed for Jersey yesterday with the Transports. HMS Charming Molly, a tender is getting ready to sail.
