Folios 152-153: Jonathan Knowles, Guernsey. He acknowledges receipt of the Admiralty's Order dated 23 April 1795 which has been complied with. He asks whether the Resident Agent and Transport vessels come under the purview of that order. He has assumed they do but both the Resident, who does not command any ships, thinks it does not. He wishes to receive an order from the Transport Board to clarify the situation. He apologises for troubling the Admiralty with this matter but he has transports but no naval vessels in the Roads from whom to send men.
