Folios 150-151: Jonathan Knowles, Guernsey. He writes to say that he ordered HMS Sylph and HMS Lively to raise jury masts as soon as the gale was over. This was done and now HMS Lively is ready to sail. He had been ordered by the Navy Board to purchase slops for HMS Lively. As she is on her way to England he has not done this as slops and every other article are extravagantly expensive in Guernsey.
