Description

Folios 261-262: Henry Haynes, Leamington, Warwickshire. Responds to a letter dated 12 August asking for an account about his accepting Martin Fahy into the service of HMS Sapphire. Advises that with other men, he was obeying an order from Admiral Hubert Sawyer.

Folio263: enclosed with folios 261-262. Letter dated 16 [October?] 1815 from the Captain's Room. Orders to Captain Haynes to acquaint Mr. Barrow about any further information regarding his receiving Martin Fahy into service.
