Folios 231-232: George Hewson, HMS Griffon, Portsmouth Harbour. As requested he nominates Mr. J B Butcher to be First Lieutenant to HMS Griffon, currently serving on HMS Mastiff which is being paid off. He has had many year's service in the East Indies and at the Cape of Good Hope.
