Description

Folios 325-326: William Hoste, [?Gorlwith] Hall, Rougham, Norfolk. Refers to an enclosed letter received from three midshipmen on his former command HMS Bacchante. He recommends their conduct during the time they served under him

Folios 327-328: enclosure with folios 325-326. Letter dated 10 June 1814 by Charles Bruce, J W Langton and William Waldegrave, HMS Bacchante, Gibraltar. Write as suggested by Captain Francis Stanfell to ask William Hoste to ask for character references in 'such a serious matter'.
