Description

Folios 269-270: John Hancock, Stevens Hotel, Bond Street. Acknowledge receipt of your letter dated 28 April 1814 stating that he is being appointing Captain of HMS Liffey. He requests the appointment of John [George?] M'Pherson now 2nd Lieutenant on HMS Warspit to be 1st Lieutenant of HMS Liffey. He has been recommended to him by Captain [Henry] Blackwood [Captain of HMS Warspit].
