Folios 252-253: Robert Hall, HMS Salvador del Mundo, Hamoaze. He states that James Tate who obtained leave of absence from HMS Leviathan, was received on HMS Salvador del Mundo on 18 December from Dublin by the Neptune Tender, bringing an Entry of the 23 September 1812, was sent Sick to Plymouth Hospital on 23 January 1814 and upon enquiring he finds that he Died there on 6 March 1814. As it is probable that an R may be placed against his name on HMS Leviathan's Books. He considers it necessary to acquaint you with the circumstances, in order that you may be able to consider the propriety of removing the R from his name for the benefit of his relatives.
