Folios 173-175: John Hayes, HMS Majestic, At Sea [Position given]. As per Orders of Sir John Borlase Warren Bart. and KB. Commander in Chief. To John Hayes. Dated 30 January 1814. He reports that the American Ship of War Constitution escaped out of the Port of Boston in a strong N W Gale on the 31 December 1813 and that he is now in pursuit. [Total of two plus sides with details of the voyage]"Extract from the Commander in Chiefs letter, dated at Halifax 19 November 1813."
