Folios 263-264: Robert Hall, Chatham.
Encloses [not present] a report of the Russian sick and convalescent for the last week. Numbers are reduced so the Hospital ship, HMS Trusty will be cleared and the other, HMS Argonaut will be sufficient. He hopes nothing will prevent the Russian Squadron going to the Nore or the Downs where they will be fully victualled, except for rice which is to follow. He has asked that each ship have a proper berth for pilots and they are to take them to the Downs. He states that non of the ships has yet received the medicines they need and they cannot go to sea without them. He asks that guns for the Russian ships be sent without delay as the ship needs to be clear of guns and carriages with 750 men on board. Asks that replies be addressed to Brompton, Chatham.
