Folios 195-196: Sir Thomas Masterman Hardy, HMS Ramillies at sea.
In compliance with a request from the Admiralty that he make a monthly report of the exact state of the HMS Ramillies he gives a details of how she performed in a recent gale. Though he cannot comment yet on durability of the timers he concludes she is as strong a ship as any in HM service.
