Folios 457-458: Peter Heywood, HMS Nereus, Chatham. States that John Bottmam[?] the bearer of this letter, who by a fall from HMS Penelope (of which he was Captain) of HMS Nereus has from being one of the most able & best Seaman in His Majesty's Service become an object of great commiseration, having been surveyed on board HMS Argonaut, reported Unserviceable & therefore this day discharged. He recommends him as a Fit and Deserving Man for admission into Greenwich Hospital.
