Folios 256-257: John Hawkins, HMS Stately, Portsmouth Harbour. Having today written requesting to be superceded and having received a letter from Admiral Albemarle Bertie where he says he will back his request. He states that HMS Stately will be at Spithead shortly. NB Captain Dundas has wrote this day to Captain Robert Moorsom to request his interest in it.
