Folios 207-208: John Martin Hanchett, Plymouth. Request the enclosed Certificate [not present] be laid before the Admiralty. [Four sides with details of his medical condition. Mentions:- HMS Raven, the Batteries of Flushing on 3rd August 1809, the £300 he has spent on Doctors, (would this be repaid?), he has made application to get into the Royal Naval Hospital Plymouth, Sir Richard Strachan [Sir Richard John Strachan (6th Baronet of Thornton, Kincardine)], Dr Blane who's care he has been under].
Folios 209-210: enclosure with folios 207-208. [Admiralty note] Own receipt and acquaint him that if he will repair to the Royal Hospital at Plymouth in order to be examined by the Inspector & Medical Officers, their Lordships will on receiving their Report take his case into consideration. Return the enclosures. Order for his being examined accordingly to go to night.
