Folios 205-206: Henry Hill, HMS Naiad, Hamoaze. States that a Boy of the Third Class on the Books of HMS Naiad named Charles Walker has been objected to by the Muster Clerk afloat at this Port dor being over the established age of thirteen years and he has also to beg that you state to their Lordships his reasons for entering this boy on the books which were:- His being the Son os a very deserving man a Gunner's Mate on board who was been in the Service nearly thirty years, eight of which on HMS Naiad. The boy is ten years of age and does the duty as messenger in the ship. He request an order for the boy to continue on HMS Naiad.
