Folios 183-184: Francis Alexander Halliday, HMS Heureux, Hamoaze. Reports that the Carpenter of HMS Heureux represents that his Warrant given him by Rear Admiral Sir Alexander [Inglis] Cochrane has not been confirmed. State he has passed his examination and he request his confirmation.
Folio 185: enclosure with folios 183-184. Letter dated 9 November 1807 by Sir Alexander [Inglis] Cochrane, HMS Belleisle, Tortola Roads, to James Milne, Shipwright at the Naval Arsenal Barbados. Having thought fit to Commission the French Corvette [Le] Lynx on the Establishment of a Sloop of War to name her HMS Heureux. You are required and directed to go on board her as Acting Carpenter.
