Folios 313-314: Joshua Sydney Horton, Liverpool Regulating Captain. Report on the disgraceful riots 21 September evening which originating with the American seamen and terminated with the total destruction of two of the Rendezvous houses, windows, doors and furniture. Captain Killwick requested a guard of solders onboard HMS Princess to quell the mutinous supernumeraries who wanted to escape. Royal Marines with Lieutenant Welchman and a gang went onboard. Lieutenant Gidney volunteered till the Betsy Cains arrives.
