Description

Folios 305-306: Lucius Ferdinand Hardyman, HMS Armide, Plymouth. Requests being supplied with two long 18 pound guns for the Fore-castle instead of his nine pounders. Concerned about confusion over different calibers. Says his main-deck guns will not clear the stern timbers if he has to use them as Chasers.
