Folios 302-303: Joshua Sydney Horton, Liverpool Regulating Captain, Rendezvous, Liverpool. Requests exchanging duties with Captain Benjamin Carter, Ramsgate Sea Fencibles, personal reasons. The service will not experience any impediment. He’s raised 1,700 men since replacing Captain Mends twelve months ago.
Folio 304: enclosed in folios 302-303. Captain Benjamin Carter, Ramsgate, 19 September 1809. Captain Horton and he would like to exchange duties for personal reasons. Every exertion for that important post.
