Folios 218-219: Joshua Sydney Horton, Regulating Captain, Liverpool. Reports that John Clark, born at Charlton, was impressed by Lieutenant Thomas Evans out of the Adventure of Poole. He has arrived in Liverpool aboard the Bauhus.
Folios 220-221: enclosed with folios 218-219. Letter dated 13 July 1809 from Elizabeth Clark, the Black Horse, Pell Mall, Liverpool, to the Admiralty. Writes for a second time seeking the release of her son John Clark, who was her principal support before he went to America.
