Folios 373-374: Joshua Sydney Horton, Regulating Officer, Liverpool. Responds to the letter of 10 March. John Lavery, born in Armagh, was pressed by Lieutenant Baly on 16 January. The information was that he arrived in the Thomas from West Indies. He returns the enclosure. Reports that HMS Piercer with 40 supernumeraries on board, HMS Swallow with 100, and HMS Elizabeth with 80, sailed yesterday for His Majesty's fleet.
Folios 375-376: enclosure with folios 373-374. Ppetition dated 7 March 1809 from Mary Lavery, 22 Thomas Street, Liverpool, to the Admiralty. Requests the discharge of John Lavery in exchange for 1 Seaman or 2 Landsmen.
