Description

Folios 237-238: John Hayes, HMS Alfred, Spithead. He encloses a description of the five men who have deserted from his ship.

Folio 239: enclosure to folios 237-238. A description of five deserters from HMS Akfred dated 7 February 1809. the men named are William Hindley, Seaman. John Gamble, Seaman. John Gregory, Seaman. James Duncan, Seaman, William Burt, Seaman. Thy are all bargemen and deserted when they took the Captain to shore in the pinnance
