Folios 67-68: Graham Eden Hamond, HMS Victorious, Spithead. He encloses a letter he has received from Captain Stevens who commands the detachment of marines aboard his vessel.
Folios 69-70: enclosure with folios 67-68. A letter dated 9 March 1809 from Robert Stevens to Captain Hamond. He writes that one of his marines, Corporal Joseph Pyner, has behaved in a manner unbecoming to an non commissioned officer. He has been borrowing money from recruits, which is contrary to the regulations. It is also thought he has been stealing. He asks that he be discharged from the Royal Marines.
