Folios 611-612: Thomas Hurd to Rear Admiral Thomas Markham, [Commissioner of the Admiralty]. Encloses a letter asking for an Assistant Draughtsman to help complete his chart of Brest. He left a large scale copy of his survey of the Bermudas in Mr Grenville's room in the Hydrographic Office together with a smaller-scale copy of his own, asks for this latter back as well as his eye glasses, which he thinks are rolled up inside one of the two charts.
