Folios 539-540: Harry Hopkins, HMS Satellite, off Beachey Head. Encloses [not present] a writ received on board from someone who appeared to be a Sheriff's officer. The man in question, Andrew Brown, was impressed from the Sally South Seaman, as he had no protection. Brown brought that ship's log, showing him as Second Mate, with him in hopes of securing his discharge from the Navy. Asks for instructions.
