Folios 613-614: Robert Hall, HMS Malabar, Gravesend. He asks for an order to the Victualling Offce to allow money for neccessaries for 343 Men to be provided to the Purser, as allowed for in a letter of 31 October 1804 when Captain Byng made application. Although the ship was rated 4th class, with a compliment of 310, she was as expensive as if she had a compliment of 343. The Victualling Office told Captain Byng on October last that they were waiting for a response from the Admiralty.
