Folios 597-598: Lawrence William Halsted, HMS Namur, Cawsand Bay. Lieutenant John Thompson, was serving a First Lieutenant on 4 November during the action with teh French and is deserving of favour. He alsos recommends Mr Bowen, Master's Mate who has served his time but has lost his certificate and will pass his examination.
