Folios 588-589: Lawrence William Halsted, HMS Namur, Yarmouth Roads. Joel Davies was Mate of the Eleanor, and was in charge ofteh cargo but the Mastertook the particulars and kept them. he has been in several Men of War previously and was Boatswain's Mate of HMS Monarch. William Peterson who was pressed into service, is Swedish and has neither wife nor is settled in England. He has discharged them in accordance with orders.
Folios 590-591: enclosure with folios 588-589 dated 21 May 1805 from Thomas Ferguson. 3 George Yard, Lombard Street. He is sending an affa davit (not present) of David James, Master of the Eleanor, proving that Joel Davies is the Mate of the ship. He asks for his discharge.
