Folios 498-499: John Hancock, HMS Cruizer, Harwich. As requested by Captain Temple, HMS St Albans, he reports that Robert Turnbull was found on board the Contre Admiral Magon Privateer and has volunteered to eneter into HM service. He has completed his water and provisions and getting under weigh to resume his station. He returns the enclosure.
Folios 500-501: enclosure with folio 498-499 dated 30 January 1805 from John Knight, London. He is applying for the discharge of Robert Turnbull, Carpenter of the Bellsarious of Newcastle, who is now onboard HMS Cruizer at Harwich. The Bellsarious was taken by a privateer commanded by a Mr Blackman who put the Master, Carpenter and other Officers onboard the Privateer which was later taken by HMS Cruizer. He is informed by friends of Forster that he was not at sea before entering as Carpenter the previous April or May. Able bodied landsmen are exempt from impress for 2 years after going sea.
