Folios 481-482: Joseph Hanwell, HMS Majestic, Yarmouth Roads. Joseph Fumridge, Carpenter has been arrested for debt and as he unlikely to be released he asks for George Cumpston, Carpenter of HMS Spy to supecede him. He has been recommended by Vice Admiral Russell with whom he served as Carpenter on HMS St Albans from which he was promoted to HMS Resolution on which he struck the Captain's Clerk and was sentanced to serve on a sloop for some time.
