Description

Folios 473-474: Joseph Hanwell, HMS Majestic, Yarmouth Roads. He requests the discharge of William Milne, Mate, and J.Kaimes, Midshipman, from HMS Ruby into his ship as his ship is short of its complement of Petty Officers due to discharge into other ships. He is sending Mr Milne's letter.

Folios 475-476: enclosure with folios 473-474 from William Milne to Captain Joseph Hanwell, HMS Majestic. He asks to be received onto HMS Majestic as he has served his time and would have a better chance of promotion. Captain D'Auvergne is agreeable to his going and has approved his writing.
